This rice is true unpolished rice. Part of the outer layer is still left on the rice (ref photo). It takes around 15-20 minutes to cook in pressure cooker on low heat. It has a bit of texture depending on how much you cook it. I would have preferred the price to be a bit lower though.+1 from me.

Was waiting for this rice since a long time. I'm staying away from my home town and this is a boon. Cooks really fast and as it says.Really helps to control sugar level and maintain good balanced diet.BROWN COLOR THAT YOU SEE WITH RICE IS THE NATURAL COLOR OF HUSK AND THIS RICR HAS ZERO ADDED COLOR.

This is perfect brown rice. It is very tasty. Also it is not coloured rice as mentioned in some comments, it is rice husk. So without hesitation you can buy.

Brown rice is good for daibetic patients. I purchased it for my father.. it took 20 min to cook. My father liked its taste.. Value for money product..

The rice I received was good, unlike the matta rice from big brands such as Double Horse and Nirapara. Matta rice sold by the big brands is polished, cheap rice with color added; when washed 2-3 times, it becomes almost white, with a sticky/oily feeling on the hands. This rice has a lot of dark colored natural bran still on the rice after washing too. Yes, when washed, the water has some color and turbidity because the rice has on it some bran in powder form and that makes the water colorful. This rice when cooked, we get the original matta rice smell which is not in other big brands. If the price is reduced by about 15 rupees per kg, this rice will become very popular, at least in South India.

Though they are not good to look at but taste is good and the best part about this rice is that you don?t get a bloaty feeling after eating them. Just wash them properly three four times and pressure cook they don?t take long to cook. Just three four whistle on medium fire and they are done

If we look about health, it is good.

Excellent product and the taste is fine. By nature, it however required much longer time to fully boil than ordinary rice. Even in a pressure cooker, it required about 45 minutes.
