It great! But is priced ridiculously high. Purchase at a retail store instead.
Unbeknownst (Aug 14, 2019) on Amazon
4 STARS for the product. 1 STAR for the price here on Amazon.MRP Rs. 22. Gillette Guard retails between Rs. 20-22 at stores. Here the seller has put it up for Rs. 35 + Rs. 75 shipping; a total of Rs. 110.That's the thing with low-price goods/items. Considering the lower margins, they are hard to sell online at reasonable rates, unless they are backed by Amazon or Cloudtail India, or sold by an established player (incl. the manufacturer). Also considering Gillette does zero marketing for Gillette Guard and all their efforts are aimed at selling multi-blade razors (the likes of Mach 3, Fusion), it's hard to find Gillette Guard in most places these days. So, if available, head straight to a retail store to purchase it. Online is prohibitively expensive.Coming to my situation, I believe my skin is very sensitive to shaving and it's also to do with my, kind of, wiry and curly facial hair. Because I end up with razor burns/bumps and irritation everytime I shave (and ingrown hairs if I let it grow a bit). Taking a few precautions like using warm water, after-shower shaving, etc. only help a bit, plus they take time and preparation. I don't enjoy shaving and just want to get it over with, because I want to shave every day and maintain that clean look.No cuts but I ended up with quite a bit of irritation and razor bumps whenever I shaved with my replaceable-blade straight razor and double edged safety razor. Zlade 4-blade shaving razor was decent but the irritation is still there. So finally, I decided to give Gillette Guard and Gillette Fusion Proglide a try before giving up on shaving entirely and moving to trimming.Completed a shave with the Gillette Guard and, I am totally surprised to say, it felt as good, if not better than Zlade 4-blade shaving razor. The razor's safety comb really does the job! The razor itself feels cheap (plastic), almost too light, the head is wobbly, and you can feel the blade cutting your hair (unlike a multi-blade razor which feels smooth at the time), but those don't concern me as long as it works.I will do more of the same and report back later!
